Introduction
This clan documents the ancestors of Barclay Harding Warburton I to IV. It traces the line back to the marriage of Henry Warburton and Martha Sanders at Oxford, England in 1742. The origins of Henry and Martha have yet to be uncovered, as their burial records do not include their ages at death..
Information on the Barclay Harding Warburton families in the USA, primarily Philadelphia, is mainly taken from Wikepedia entries, supported by some online records. There is available information on branches of the family that remained in England, but this has yet to be added to the tree.
The Barclay Harding Warburton name came to my attention through the story that links the socialite Mary Brown Warburton to the naming of the Bloody Mary cocktail.
An additional line, from Henry’s grandson William was uncovered when researching Ray and Wyn Warburton, who visited the RAF grave of Wyn’s brother in The Netherlands.
The photo is of the Brigantine Black Pearl, once owned by Barclay Harding III.
