However the births of his children suggest he moved back and forth as he married in Lancashire and was present in the 1911 census, and for the birth of his first 2 chidren. Doris was born in Canada, then there were 2 further births in Lancashire before the last child was born in Canada. His WWI service may account for the return to Lancashire.
