Early in my recent holiday in Florida I was sent the following link to a portrait purporting to be John Dutton of Dutton. Ed Dutton, who sent it to me, doubted it was he because of the Coat of Arms.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the Coat of Arms and the possible identity of the man in the portrait?
I will update this post in a few days with a summary of the responses, plus my own thoughts.
UPDATE
Thank you to those who have sent me their thoughts. I plan to visit Sherborne Park, where the picture resides, in the near future and will post my conclusions subsequently.
